Positive visual feedback promotes relearning
Adapted for wheelchairs, the IVS4® allows patients to work seated to learn basic movements and more complex coordination, then in a standing position to focus on a functional approach to balance and gait.
IVS4® is based on the basic principles of visuomotor simulation training. It replaces the image of the paralyzed leg with a positive image of movements performed by the healthy leg. Reestablishing connection between what the patient intends to do and what sensations they perceive encourages relearning.
